Nashville Mayor John Cooper told CNN he is aware of an explosion in "an old and historic section" of Nashville. The Metro Nashville Police Department and the Nashville Fire Department are responding to "an incident involving an explosion," according to Kendra Loney, Public Information Officer for the Nashville Fire Department. The scene is still active and no additional details were provided, an email from Loney told CNN. This video, recorded by Jimmy Hall from a tall building, shows an apparent plume of smoke after the incident.
