The Ministry of Health updated tonight (Saturday) that 3,994 people have been diagnosed in Corona in the past day.

This increased the number of infected patients in Israel to 398,015.

Yesterday, about 86,960 tests were performed, with a positive percentage of the virus being 4.7%.

The data of the tests and their results are not final and may change in subsequent updates of the Ministry of Health.

The number of active patients is 34,996.

977 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals, of whom 136 are respirators and 561 are seriously ill.

To date, 3,203 people have died from the corona virus in Israel.

Yesterday, 3,958 people were diagnosed in Corona.

The number of tests was 96,590, of which 4.1% were positive for the virus.

Last week, 24,277 people were diagnosed in Corona - a figure about 52.7% higher than the week before, so 15,899 people were diagnosed with the virus, and more than double the figure measured two weeks ago.

The rise in morbidity has led to a closure starting tomorrow at 5pm, coinciding with the start of Operation “Give a Shoulder” to vaccinate the population against Corona.

According to the government's decision, the closure will last for at least two weeks, with the possibility of extending it for another two weeks.

Traffic restrictions of up to one kilometer from home will apply, non-essential places of commerce, recreation and leisure will be closed, and fifth- to tenth-grade studies will be discontinued.

The fine for violating the traffic restriction will be NIS 500.
