Elkin attacks: "Netanyahu's rule becomes dangerous for Israel"

Elkin pledged that a new Tikva party would not sit in the Netanyahu-led government in an interview with "Meet the Press" on Channel 12, and clarified that "he is a super-talented person, but he has changed."

Former Minister Zeev Elkin this evening (Saturday) sharply attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that "the Netanyahu regime has become dangerous to Israel."

In an interview with Channel 12's "Meet the Press," Elkin pledged that a new Tikva party would not sit in a Netanyahu-led government, making it clear that "Netanyahu is a super-talented person, but he has changed before my eyes, especially in the past year."

"Something is happening to him," the former minister added.

"It's a tragedy to me. I admired and I appreciate it to this day. Probably because of everything that happens around it, personal judgment time and time again begins to become more dominant."

Elkin, who left the Likud this week to join a new Tikva party led by Gideon Saar, said that "there are many people in the Likud faction who think like me, I will not name names. I do not know if others will join me, it is a difficult decision."
