Nursing staff in 2020 in the corona crisis: first celebrated - then abandoned

They have been applauded as heroes and are working to the limit: In the corona crisis, the focus is on nursing staff. That hasn't changed anything in terms of lousy working conditions. It's hard to imagine that things will get better in 2021.

After class at the nursing school, children's nurse Katrin goes to her convertible, painted midnight blue.

Geriatric nurse Boris can hardly believe it: He asks whether it is from his parents.

No, answers Katrin.

"Fell off the truck?" Boris continues.

»From the AVGÜ«, explains Katrin, short for training remuneration.

Boris is amazed: So from the thousand euros he earns a month as a nursing student, he can afford such a car?

The scene is an excerpt from the miniseries »Ehrenpflegas«.

The Federal Ministry of Family Affairs ordered her from Constantin Film.

Young actors, known from Netflix series such as "Dark" and "How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)", play in it.

The series is intended to arouse interest in the nursing profession, especially among more young people.

"Now even the last Honk has understood that this is systemically important."

Quote from the series »Ehrenpflegas«

To show how much fun care can be, the actors say things like »I'll chill with the elderly and sick and so on« or »Now even the last honk has understood that this is systemically relevant.« At the end of each episode there is the slogan of the campaign: "Make a career as a person."
