Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his country's permanent readiness to provide necessary aid free of charge to other countries and not for political benefit.
Sputnik news agency quoted Putin as saying during a congratulatory speech on the occasion of the Rescue Workers' Day that the whole world knows that Russia will provide assistance and will direct rescue workers and experts to the most suffering places and will deliver the necessary food, medicine and clothes, as well as provide emergency medical and psychological assistance to the desperate ... For some political benefit.
Putin added that "the noble and extremely difficult task that you are undertaking, which is organizing humanitarian aid for the people of Nagorno Karabakh," noting that during the past 30 years alone, the Ministry of Emergencies has conducted more than 500 humanitarian operations abroad.
