Singer Tito Rojas dies at 65 in Puerto Rico

This Saturday the Puerto Rican singer Tito Rojas passed away at age 65, the Puerto Rico Police confirmed.

The authorities indicated in a press release that at dawn this Saturday they received a call to 911 alerting about a medical case in a residence in the Tejas neighborhood of the city of Humacao.

The preliminary report indicates that upon arriving at the scene, the authorities found Julio César Rojas, the salsa's first name, dead.

Luis Raúl Sánchez, mayor of Humacao, decreed 5 days of mourning after the death of the "Gallo Salsero", as he was popularly known, starting this Saturday.

"I contacted a family spokesperson to offer and make available the facilities of the Marcelo Trujillo Panisse Coliseum for the wake of our friend and from Humacaeño Tito Rojas," Sánchez said in a statement.

The reactions after the departure of the singer of hits such as "Lady at dawn", "No one is eternal" and "Condemn me to your love" came instantly.
