The restaurants have been closed since the beginning of November.

What helps the hosts are their "to go" offers.

It is also available in some restaurants on New Year's Eve.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen -

Going to the restaurant in comfort, ordering a fine meal, a glass of wine and nice company - what is tradition for many people, especially during the Christmas holidays or now at the turn of the year, is no longer applicable this year due to the Corona lockdown.

The "To Go" offer of many inns can help.

The hosts do their best to provide their guests with a festive meal at home - even on New Year's Eve.

Arctic char or roast venison at the turn of the year

At Marianne Steingruber from Landgasthof Fischbach, char fillet and roast venison are on the New Year's menu.

Already at Christmas there was something special with ducks and goose to “cook it up”.

"The Christmas business went well under the current circumstances," reports the landlady.

“It's nice to experience the solidarity of the regular guests.” On New Year's Eve, orders can be placed until 5 pm.

In the “Ratsstuben” in Geretsried, the out-of-home sales have so far been well received.

“On Christmas Day we served 240 meals,” says landlord Zeno Willnhammer, on the second it was still a good 120. Since everything had to be pre-ordered, he was prepared for it and nobody had to go empty-handed.

The people picking up stood in line in the beer garden, but everything was corona-compliant and decent.

On New Year's Eve, guests can choose their dish from the menu of the day.

Guests show discipline when collecting food

The other hosts also experience great support and discipline when collecting the food.

"The people are grateful that we cook for them, there was not a single one who did not comply with the mask requirement or the distance," confirmed Udo Karcher, who has been running the Alter Wirt inn in Höhenrain for over 30 years.

In addition to the daily menu, he has a four-course menu to pick up on New Year's Eve, with roast beef, lobster cream soup, boiled beef and a dessert.

It has to be booked in advance, but those who decide late can still call until the afternoon of the 31st.

“'To go' is not always easy,” he says.

"It took a while for the packaging to work so that the food served well at home."

“We miss our guests,” says host Karlheinz Leimer

Nobody in the hospitality industry really believes that the lockdown will be over in January.

"But we will survive that too," says Hans Sebald from the Seehotel Grauer Bär in Kochel, optimistically.

The restaurant started with a to-go offer for the first time in the week before Christmas.

It's going well, says the landlord, and it will be kept.

On New Year's Eve, Sebald offers à la carte.

If you want a whole menu, you can put it together individually.

For New Year's Eve, it is recommended to pre-order the day before - i.e. this Wednesday.

“We miss our guests,” says Karlheinz Leimer, co-owner and managing director of the Posthotel Kolberbräu in Bad Tölz.

His restaurant is open daily for pick-up guests.

He knows that many are already looking forward to being able to eat properly again.

“It's not just about eating.

It's about the overall experience and our Bavarian cosiness, which we all miss. ”At the turn of the year, you can choose from two menus at the“ Kolberbräu ”so that you can have a nice, culinary evening at home: one leg of duck and one venison goulash Starter and dessert each - if ordered in advance, "ideally one day in advance".

All offers can be found on the respective homepages of the restaurants and here
