A month after the deadly shooting in Arad, the police have no clue about the additional burglars

Aryeh Schiff will attend a hearing next week according to the indictment against him, but the police investigation has not yet led to the members of the burglar's squad being shot dead.

The shooter's friends claim the default: "Instead of messing with the Schiff family, the police should catch the criminals."

A month after the shooting in Arad, the police have still not been able to reach the additional accomplices to Aryeh Schiff's car break-in.

In the Negev region, the investigation is continuing, and according to the source, "a variety of intelligence and other operations were used to reach the two."

Eran Fenitz, Schiff's friend, claims that this is a default.

"Instead of messing with the Schiff family, the Israeli police should catch the witnesses to the incident," he read.

"There are people around who come to steal and rob and they may be violent - and they are free. Apparently in the State of Israel those criminals will physically harm someone and will not look for them. We are very sad that this is the case."

According to Shlomi Tabenchik, a resident of the city and a supporter of Schiff's release, the two's lack of perception harms the residents' sense of security.

Tabenchik said he "understands that they were masked and therefore very difficult to catch. The very fact that there were three burglars there put Arieh at risk. They should be caught and severely punished."

Next week, the 70-year-old sheriff is expected to hold a hearing in the Southern District Attorney's Office before the indictment is filed against him.

The offense attributed to him is murder with indifference, but at the end of the hearing it may aggravate the offense of manslaughter.

Since he shot dead a burglar in his car, Muhammad al-Atrash, a resident of the Bedouin diaspora, Schiff has been under house arrest in Eilat under restrictions.

During the investigation, it emerged that in a video filmed by security cameras, Schiff was seen firing at the seat in which the burglar was sitting, and not at the wheels of the vehicle - as he stated in his first version.

The forensic doctor determined that the burglar was killed by a bullet that hit his head.

The sense of security was hurt.

Advocate Idan Shani of Shashi Gaz's office, representing Schiff, said that "the fact that members of the cell have not yet been apprehended indicates how real there is a real difficulty in enforcing the law in the area. It seems not without reason that this undermines the sense of security of the locals."

The police said in response that "no person is above the law and calms down upon receiving the report of the shooting and death of a person, police officers arrived at the scene and opened an investigation accompanied by the prosecution. Naturally we do not usually refer to ongoing investigations."
