A 43-year-old man was indicted and imprisoned Thursday, December 31 for the murder with logs of a forty-year-old on Tuesday in Darnétal, near Rouen, the prosecution said.

The suspect "
was indicted on the count of intentional homicide and placed in pre-trial detention,
" Soizic Guillaume, deputy prosecutor of Rouen, told AFP.
"
The facts were recognized in custody
" by the suspect, said the magistrate.
The alleged murderer, who was drunk at the time of the facts, is the tenant of the premises where the tragedy took place, according to a police source. The police intervened Tuesday around 6.30 p.m. on the scene at the request of the firefighters for an injured man. The 44-year-old victim died when investigators arrived, according to the same source.
