Catalan police put an end to a wild rave party on Saturday that had been held with around 300 revelers for 40 hours to celebrate New Year in a hangar near Barcelona in the midst of a pandemic.

We are going to prosecute the organizers and all the participants,
" the police - the Mossos de Esquadra - said on Twitter, pointing out that the fine for the participants in this clandestine party in Llinars del Valles, 30 km northeast of Barcelona , would be greater than 3,000 euros.
"
The three organizers have been arrested: they will be brought to court in the next few hours,
" the police added.
For them, the fine could be more than 600,000 euros, she said.

Video footage obtained by AFP shows young people without protective masks and disregarding barrier rules, smoking and dancing in front of a giant skull wearing a Santa hat, then brief scuffles erupt on the dance floor when the police arrive.
We can also see a young woman in topless trying to calm each other.
Hundreds of police took part in the operation, supported by a helicopter, according to Spanish public radio RNE.
In France, another wild rave party which had been held since Thursday evening in Lieuron, south of the city of Rennes (west) with 2,500 revelers, some of whom came from abroad, ended on Saturday morning.
More than 1,200 verbalizations were made and the material was seized.
