It was the worst year of our lives.
The year of the final victory of populism would bring us the absurd defeat of Biden and the horizon of Trump's second term, which would permanently distance the US from Europe.
It was also the year of the abrupt departure from the United Kingdom of the European family, in the midst of the attacks of a virus for which the scientific community, divided and underfunded, still could not find a remedy.
Guided by the "for himself who can" policy, countries would close borders, seeking on their own and risk the exit to the predatory virus.
