The incident occurred at about 10 pm last Saturday night when officers in uniform intercepted the man at No. 18 Tianen Road.

The man then took the camera and filmed, during which the police officers repeatedly read out the man's full name and asked the man to say his identity card number. However, the man failed to cooperate and said he could not pronounce the number.

After investigation, officers seized a take-out insulation bag suspected of not belonging to the man.

The 21-year-old man surnamed Zhao was arrested on suspicion of theft and the case was handed over to the Yuen Long Police District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up.

The arrested man has been released on bail pending further investigation and must report to the police in early February.

The police later added that the arrested man was taken back to the Tin Shui Wai Police Station during the investigation. He attacked a male police officer with the head and was arrested for assaulting a police officer.
