Chavismo took control this Tuesday of the Venezuelan Parliament that emerged from the controversial legislative elections of December 6, imposed by Nicolas Maduro.

These were elections that most Western democracies did not recognize.

At that ceremony, they read the diplomats and representatives present and included

the charge d'affaires of Argentina, Eduardo Porretti

.

The spark caught quickly and the video of the now deputy Jorge Rodriguez - the same one who came to the Asunción of Alberto Fernández as minister - began to spread through the networks, reading the presence of the head of the Argentine embassy in Caracas.

The presence of Porretti thus marked the recognition of elections in which the regime banned opponents and manipulated party ballots, among other tricks.

They are elections that only recognize Russia, China, Cuba, Bolivia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Iran, Turkey, Syria and the republic of Abkhazia, which is within Georgia.

The European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Argentina's partners in Mercosur (Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay), among others, were unaware of this election.

However, despite the fact that the video is clearly heard when Rodríguez names Porretti, it was reported from Buenos Aires that the person who attended the ceremony was not him but the second from the mission,

Eduardo Alberto Canale.

It was a way of being present, and recognizing but with a low profile.

A curious gesture.

They said in Buenos Aires that Porretti spent the morning in his office.

But in Caracas, opposition sources pointed out that something like this rarely happens to Chavismo.

Or that he was initially among those who were going to participate and his failure was decided at the last minute.

Or they did the mischief of giving their name to appear among those present.

Both Maduro and his deputy, Diosdado Cabello, have repeatedly called President Fernández "lukewarm" because he does not appear openly giving them political support.

Meanwhile, no one from Argentina was present at the inauguration of the opposition leader Juan Guaidó,

who is trying to maintain a parallel Congress with international support.

Upon assuming office, Fernández withdrew recognition of Guaidó as acting president, as Mauricio Macri had done in 2015.

"Sympathy can never be above human dignity. And here came a point at which to continue with a rhyme that then all international organizations and all human rights NGOs are controlled by the United States and imperialism. It is a great impudence. The International Criminal Court, former president Bachelet, who is not the new right, and forces within the Argentine government that understand, "said Freddy Guevara, Guaidó's deputy in an interview from Caracas with the

Lanata sin Filter program. by Radio Miter

.

"Nobody says that they support us to be governors or mayors. What we are proposing is that they condemn violations of rights and crimes against humanity and help the people of Venezuela choose their destiny."

Although promoted to ambassador under the government of Mauricio Macri,

Porretti acts as charge d'affaires,

because the government still maintains diplomatic relations at that level since 2015.

Hard-line Kirchnerism asks that the figure of ambassador be restored, as Bolivia and Mexico have.

Previously, the Alberto Fernández administration had decided to abstain from condemning the OAS countries to Maduro's elections in which his PSUV party obtained 256 seats out of the 277 that were up for grabs, but with a turnout of between 20 and the 30th%
