The parade of departures in blue and white continues: Minister of Social Equality Meirav Cohen resigns from the party and moves to the Yesh Atid party.
A statement from Yesh Atid said: "Yesh Atid is pleased to announce the addition of the Minister for Social Equality, Meirav Cohen, to the Yesh Atid party. At 20:00, the chairman of Yesh Atid, Yair Lapid and Minister Meirav Cohen will make a joint statement to the media."
A blue-and-white chairman, Defense Minister Bnei Gantz, has not yet commented on Cohen's departure.
Meirav Cohen is the ninth MK to leave Blue and White in the past two weeks. About a week ago, Minister of Science and Technology Yizhar Shai Lagantz announced that he would not run in the upcoming Knesset elections in blue and white. It was further stated that Shai will be available to the Corona Cabinet and blue and white ministers in the Cabinet, as well as the Government of Israel, as required.
