Today, Britain recorded the highest rate of Coronavirus infections, as it exceeded 60,000 cases for the first time since the start of the outbreak.
Reuters quoted the British Public Health Authority as saying that "the outcome that was recorded today is another indication of the severity of the crisis at a time when Britain and Scotland began a new general isolation to confront the pandemic."
"The rapid increase in cases is deeply worrying and sadly it means more pressure on our health services," said Yvonne Doyle, Medical Director of the Public Health Authority.
