Criticizing today any reform aimed at reducing the length of divorce proceedings in France is perceived as contrary to the interests of the spouses.
This was the main argument repeated by the former Minister of Justice, Nicole Belloubet, to support his text which entered into force on January 1 after two postponements.
While all family court judges can agree that the divorce process is too long, it should be remembered that it is often because of the parties themselves.
The main criticism that we can sometimes make the magistrate is not to put an end to exchanges from which nothing more comes.

But to wish to reduce in principle the time of the divorce procedure is to ignore that some spouses do not want to separate.
Their reasons are multiple, personal, good or bad, it doesn't matter, it's their right.
To still be in love and to keep to one's commitments is eminently respectable.
