Muriel Bawazir, Mayor of the American capital, Washington, announced the imposition of a curfew in the capital, starting at six in the evening local time.
"She requested the imposition of a curfew on the city level in the District of Columbia, starting from 6 pm today January 6 until 6 am tomorrow," Bawazir said in a tweet.
