The European Medicines Agency announced today that it has received a license application for the AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine against the emerging corona virus.

AFP quoted the Amsterdam-based agency as saying in a statement that it had "received a request to allow conditions to distribute the vaccine against Covid 19, which was developed by AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford, in the European markets," explaining that it will take a decision on it on the 29th of January.

The agency indicated that it would do a quick audit of the vaccine and would speed up the decision if all the data it received was robust and sufficiently complete.

And last month, the European Agency announced the approval of the Pfizer Bionic vaccine to counter the Corona virus.
