The Public Corporation for Drinking Water in Sweida has begun digging a well in Lahhath village, with a depth of 400 meters, with an estimated cost of drilling and cladding of 82 million pounds.
The Director General of the Foundation, Eng. Wael Choucair, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent today that the well is an alternative source for a water well that has been discarded from investment, indicating that water is currently provided to the citizens in the village from a second well for the corporation in addition to the water resource well connected to the network.
Choucair pointed out that the Foundation is currently preparing to start digging a well in Shaqa town, after handing over the work site to the contracting parties in order to start it.
Last month, the Foundation began digging a well in the village of Kanaker, with an estimated cost of drilling and cladding exceeding 107 million pounds.
