At about midnight, a man was reportedly driving a private car along Repulse Bay Road on Hong Kong Island. During the period, he was found to be trailing and pinched by two private cars. The man immediately speeded up and fled after seeing the situation. The suspicious vehicle was also chased after him. The man reported the case for help.
After receiving the report, the police searched the area around the scene.
It is understood that the police officers found one of the suspicious private cars in the southern district of Hong Kong Island and immediately pursued them. They intercepted the suspicious private car at the roundabout off the Harbour Plaza Hotel in Hung Hom more than 10 kilometers away. The police officers got out of the car. Knives, sticks, axes and other tools.
In addition, police dogs then came to the scene to assist and found a small amount of suspected contraband.
The police arrested two people in the vehicle on suspicion of "possession of offensive weapons."
According to sources, the private car being followed was a Ferrari sports car.
