Heavy snowfall is expected overnight from Wednesday to Thursday in the North-East of France and in the Northern Alps.
The departments concerned are the Ardennes, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Moselle, Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin, Vosges and Territoire de Belfort.

During the night, the arrival of cold air from Germany will cause heavy snowfall from 5 am on the border departments of the Ardennes to Bas-Rhin.
They will then strengthen in Lorraine, Bas-Rhin and Vosges with a reduction of snow to an altitude of 400 m according to

Placed on alert in snow and ice vigilance by Météo France, 10cm of snow could be exceeded in Lorraine and Alsace.
In the Vosges, up to 30 centimeters of snow from 700m are expected.
The Haut-Rhin prefecture has set up an overtaking ban on all roads and highways in the department for vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, which cannot travel at more than 80 km / h.
In the Meuse, Moselle and Meurthe-et-Moselle, school buses will not run on Thursday.
