Mexico's Prosecutor's Office will not initiate criminal actions against Cienfuegos 3:13

The Mexican Prosecutor's Office exonerated former Secretary of Defense Salvador Cienfuegos Zepeda.
The United States had detained him on drug trafficking charges and sent him home to face possible trial.

After the United States handed over the former secretary to Mexico under drug trafficking charges, along with evidence and data, the Mexican Attorney General's Office "determined the non-exercise of criminal action, in favor of General Salvador Cienfuegos."
According to a statement from the Prosecutor's Office, the investigation revealed that Cienfuegos “never had any encounter with the members of the criminal organization investigated by the North American authorities;
Nor did he maintain any communication with them, nor did he carry out acts tending to protect or help said individuals. "

The statement goes on to say that there is "no evidence that he had used any electronic equipment or means, or that he had issued any order to favor the criminal group indicated in this case."
