Geneva - Sana
Today, the World Health Organization (WHO) emergency committee announced its opposition to the request for certificates of vaccination against the emerging corona virus as a condition for granting entry to international travelers.
Agence France-Presse quoted the committee as saying in a statement that there are still many key things that are not known regarding the effectiveness of vaccines in terms of reducing virus transmission, and that vaccines are currently available in limited quantities.
In the same context, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said in a press conference, "I want to see vaccination campaigns have started in every country within the next 100 days so that health care workers who are exposed to greater risks can be protected in the first place."
Corona virus has killed more than one million and 988 thousand people around the world since its emergence in December 2019, according to the American World Meters website.
