22 people were killed and 11 others injured in separate attacks and explosions in Afghanistan.
"A policeman was killed and two others were injured in an explosive device explosion in Karkar district of Balkhmari, the capital of Baghlan," Xinhua news agency quoted a spokesman for the Afghan police in the northern province of Baghlan as saying.
On the other hand, the Afghan army announced the death of one of its soldiers in an armed attack by the Taliban on the Dargad region in Takhar province in the north of the country.
An Afghan army officer, Abdul Raziq, told Xinhua that eight militants were also killed during the attack, while five soldiers and four militants were wounded.
In addition, the Afghan police announced the killing of 12 members of the forces supporting the Afghan army in Ghorian district of western Herat province, in clashes with Taliban militants.
According to Abdul Ahad Wali Zadeh, a police spokesman in Herat, two Taliban militants launched an internal attack in Goryan district, killing 12 members of the forces supporting the Afghan government and fleeing, indicating that investigations are underway and the pursuit of the militants continues in the area.
