A message to Iran?
After weeks of talks with the Americans, the US military decided to transfer Israel to the responsibility of its Central Command (Sentcom), the trust for its activities in the Middle East.
Santcom is responsible for the Middle East, and its front-line deployment is in Qatar, with all countries surrounding Israel belonging to Santcom.
Until now, the United States has belonged to Israel to Yokum, the European Command of the United States, whose headquarters are located in Germany.
The transfer of responsibility for Israel from the European Command to the US Central Command is mostly semantic, and the decision was made after weeks of dialogue with, among others, the former Secretary of Defense, Asper, and the Chief of Staff of the United States Army Millie.
According to Defense Minister Bnei Gantz, "the decision will further strengthen cooperation between the IDF and the U.S. military in the face of regional challenges, along with additional friendships with common interests."
