The Tutzing fire brigade moved to the south of the village on Saturday.
A bread machine had started to burn there - with considerable consequences.
Tutzing - "Anything that has a plug is a potential arsonist." Tutzing's fire brigade commander Markus Kuisl likes to say this sentence during fire protection training courses.
On Saturday afternoon it proved to be true again: In a semi-detached house on Kallerbach, a bread machine started to burn by itself.
The result, according to Kuisl: “It got really hot.
The kitchen and living room were smoky black, the furniture can probably be thrown away completely. "
But nobody was injured. The resident, who noticed the fire late, reacted “absolutely correctly”. He closed the door to the kitchen and living room area. “That way the smoke didn't come up through the stairwell,” says the fire brigade commander. At 3:40 p.m., the 18 emergency services deployed. At first you couldn't see exactly what the trigger was. The bread machine could then be extinguished very quickly. The mission ended at 5.30 p.m.
