According to the police, the 39-year-old woman surnamed Li finally presented her identity document to MTR staff for ticket control purposes.

It is reported that the staff subsequently violated Article 28H(1)(D) of the MTR Bylaws and issued warning letters to male passers-by.

Li Wei has not responded positively to the incident so far

Police: The woman finally showed her ID card for ticket control

According to the police, they received a report from a MTR staff at about 4:25 pm yesterday (16th) that a woman was suspected of using a concessionary Octopus card to enter the gate at Sham Shui Po MTR station. The staff then checked the woman's ticket. Uncooperative, the staff asked the police for help.

The officers arrived at the scene and the 39-year-old woman surnamed Li was willing to show her identity document to the MTR staff for ticket control purposes after persuasion.

The case was classified as "violation of the MTR Bylaws" and was referred to MTR for follow-up.

A CUHK spokesperson said that CUHK does not comment on individual incidents.

If a university member is found to have violated the law, the university will follow the established procedures.
