An incorrectly put on corona mask led to such a heated argument in S3 that the federal police had to be alerted.

Taufkirchen

- In the Corona crisis, the nerves are on edge: Because a S-Bahn driver had not put his mouth and nose protection on correctly, there was such a massive dispute between two passengers from Munich in the S 3 that in Taufkirchen even the federal police had to intervene.

It all started on Friday morning in the S 3 from Munich to Holzkirchen.

A 47-year-old Croat had not pulled his corona mask over his nose - a 49-year-old German made him aware of it with a gesture.

The Croat did not react, but got out in Taufkirchen.

The 49-year-old followed him - thereupon there was such an intense physical confrontation between the two S-Bahn drivers from Munich on the platform that passers-by alerted the federal police at 8:45 a.m.

First there was a tussle on the platform, as a result of which the 49-year-old fell to the ground.

According to the federal police, the trigger could have been that the German had shown the Croat a “finger”.

Now the situation really escalated.

The 49-year-old pulled an animal repellent spray out of his pocket, apparently out of fear of further attacks, and sprayed it several times on the Croat's face.

Now bystanders interfered and calmed the situation.

The federal police are now evaluating the video recordings of the S-Bahn and the S-Bahn stops.

Criminal investigations were initiated against both parties;

among other things because of dangerous bodily harm and insult.

The repellant spray was seized.

The 49-year-old suffered bloody abrasions on his shin and palm from the fall.

The 47-year-old had eye irritation.

Both refused medical treatment on site.

The Federal Police points out that from Monday, January 18, it will be mandatory to wear FFP2 face masks in public transport in Bavaria.

The officers of the Federal Police Inspection in Munich will speak to people who they encounter without an FFP2 mask in local trains, S-Bahn and train stations as well as stops during a one-week transition period and ask for future compliance with the regulation to contain the pandemic.
