Although face-to-face events are currently not allowed due to the corona pandemic, friends of culture did not have to do without the PiPaPo festival (brush, timpani and poetry) organized by the Isar-Loisach (KIL) cultural association.
In a show of strength, the association moved the program to the Internet.
Gelting - This time the festival lasted two months.
There were twelve events, one will be rescheduled.
"We had a total of 5,000 hits," reports Vice-Chair Andrea Weber of the appearances that were shown via live stream on the YouTube video platform.
Since the recordings are still clicked, the number continues to rise.
"Pascal Blenke was very successful," said Weber.
The concert of the 21-year-old from Stuttgart was followed by a particularly large number of spectators.
On average, there were 100 streams per event during the respective appearances.
“That would have been sold out events in ambush,” reports the vice-chairwoman.
She is particularly pleased that, according to the number of hits, the audience on the sofa at home stayed with them even during the performances.
"Those who know the PiPaPo were there again," concludes Weber.
Since the first lockdown, the culture stage ambush has broadcast concerts and Co. on the Internet.
Thorsten Thane and Hendrik Noeller make the necessary professional technology possible.
The KIL was able to fall back on this infrastructure and experience for the festival.
"The quality is great," praises Weber.
However, especially with cabaret and readings, it is difficult to appear in front of empty auditoriums and only in front of one camera.
Therefore, the KIL had to adapt the planned program to the changed conditions.
The association did not charge fixed admission prices for the live streams.
Instead, they asked for voluntary support via bank transfer.
"Many have made very benevolent donations to support the work of the KIL and the artists, especially in these times," says Weber.
In addition, many are ready to become members.
"For years we were 35 members, now we are 70", said the vice-chairwoman.
The association could only finance the fee of the committed artists thanks to financial support from the city of Geretsried.
Weber: "We are very grateful for that."
