Rocket launch (Photo: Walla! NEWS system, Gal Hadad)
This launch came after an earlier launch at the end of December, in which one rocket was launched from the Gaza Strip and landed not in Israeli territory.
As a result of the rocket, a Red Army alert was activated in Kerem Shalom.
There were no casualties in the incident and no damage was done.
In response to the shooting, aircraft and fighter jets attacked Hamas terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip.
According to an IDF spokesman, the planes attacked a site for the production of weapons, underground infrastructure and a military post of the organization.
