Heïdi Soupault, 19, has become in a few days the embodiment of student distress, through the magic of social networks.
In an open letter to President Macron, this Sciences Po Strasbourg student recounted her
"impression of being dead"
and of having
"no more dreams"
with the absence of lecture halls, loneliness, the uncertain future.
"I understand the difficulty of the work which is yours"
but
"all my projects collapse one after the other"
and
"for once I say shit to solidarity"
, she wrote.
"This epidemic steals a lot from you"
, the head of state replied on Friday.
"It's hard to be 20 years old in 2020: it was not a simple formula"
, added Macron, who assures that the situation of the young woman
"concerns" him
.
"But I tell you frankly: we will have to hold on," he
says, recalling that the epidemic situation did not allow the universities to reopen.
