Tensions in the south:
An IDF spokesman announced last night (Monday) that two launches from the northern Gaza Strip in the direction of Ashdod had been identified. The rockets fired fell into the sea and there were no incidents or damage was caused in the incident.
Just three weeks ago, two rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip in the direction of Ashkelon, rockets intercepted by an Iron Dome system.
In response to the launch, the IDF attacked terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip, including a site for the production of rocket weapons and Hamas positions.
Hamas blamed the Islamic Jihad launches three weeks ago, saying the shooting was "contrary to an agreement and understanding reached between factions in the joint coalition and the terrorist organizations, and without an order from the Islamic Jihad High Command."
