Summary :
On November 22, 2020, Stéphane Nomis becomes the new president of the French Judo Federation with nearly 60% of the vote.
At 50, the candidate creates a surprise by beating Jean-Luc Rougé, president of the Federation since 2005 and monument of French sport.
Passionate about judo, this outsider has three silver medals at the French Championships and a 5th place at the European Championships in 1997. In 2002, he ended his sports career and founded Ippon Technologies, a consulting firm specializing in the development of computer systems.
Following the revelations of the Parisian on several cases of sexual abuse within French judo clubs, since his campaign and after his election, the former judoka has made the fight against sexual abuse his priority.
