YouTube, owned by Google, has extended the ban on outgoing US President Donald Trump's channel for another week due to fears it incites violence and violates content policy.
Reuters quoted the company as saying in a statement today: “In light of concerns about the possible continuation of violence, the Donald Trump channel will be prevented from uploading new videos or live broadcasts for at least an additional seven days, and as mentioned previously, the comments will continue to be suspended indefinitely within the videos. From the channel ”.
On the thirteenth of this month, YouTube suspended the Trump channel and deleted a video recording for violating the site's rules regarding non-incitement to violence, as the site said in its statement that in light of concerns about the continuing possibilities of violence, we removed new content uploaded to Donald Trump's channel for violating our policies.
Last week, Facebook and Twitter shut down Trump's account on their two platforms after his supporters stormed the Congress building.
