Chinese Foreign Ministry: Pompeo's lies and fabrications turned him into a clown

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said today that the lies and fabrications of Mike Pompeo, the US Secretary of State during the era of former US President Donald Trump, turned him into a clown and the joke of the century with his recent crazy statements.

Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying made the remarks during a daily press conference in response to a question Pompeo claimed that "China is involved in genocide and crimes against humanity against the Uyghur minority in Xinjiang."

"These statements are only one of his big absurd lies," Xinhua quoted Ying as saying, "The American politician known for lying and deceit is turning himself into a clown and the joke of the century with his recent crazy statements and his slander about Xinjiang will not change the stability and prosperity of the region."

She stressed that "China has earnestly implemented the United Nations action plan to prevent extremism in Xinjiang and adopted preventive measures to combat terrorism and extremism in accordance with the law, effectively guaranteeing the safety and stability of Xinjiang and protecting the lives of residents of all nationalities in the region."

She stressed that Pompeo's remarks reflect the attempt by some American powers to discredit China, interfere in China's internal affairs under the guise of human rights, and undermine China's security and stability.
