Since she was appointed as running mate on Joe Biden's presidential ticket, we keep talking about the symbolic aspect of the arrival of Kamala Harris, a beautiful 55-year-old Californian with a tempered personality, to the vice- presidency.
The first woman to hold this position, but also the first black woman (she was born to a Jamaican father) and the first woman of Asian origin (her mother is of Indian origin) to this prestigious position, the former attorney general of California likes to insist on these identity aspects which the democratic electorate loves.
But behind the symbol, her personality still retains a certain mystery, while with a 78-year-old President Joe Biden in the midst of the Covid crisis, it is not excluded that Kamala Harris is brutally led to become the first President of the States United of America.
This vagueness is far from having been lifted during the short, unconvincing campaign that the new vice-president led during the Democratic primary in 2019.
