Real Madrid suffered a hard and unexpected setback on Wednesday when they were eliminated from the Copa del Rey in the round of 32, against Alcoyano, a club in the Second Division B of Spanish football.
The team led by Zinedine Zidane says goodbye to the tournament with a 2 to 1 defeat in extra time.

After the defeat, Zidane said at a press conference: «I think the players have given everything on the field.
We have had chances to score the second goal.
And when you don't put it in, then, in a foul, what happened to us can happen ».
It is not the first time that Madrid has fallen in this instance of the Copa del Rey.
In 2009 he was eliminated against Alcorcón, who defeated him with a relentless 4-0 in the first leg.
The team then led by Chilean Manuel Pellegrini could not reverse the situation in the second leg and the aggregate ended 4 to 1. That feat is still remembered as the "Alcorconazo".
