Three verified patients, three fighters who felt unwell and referred to isolation at the base, and dozens of fighters who are in the field after being exposed to verified patients, in desert cold, without tests for a week.

This is what happened this week at the Nahal's brigade training base near Arad, which angered the parents, who they claimed were not updated on the carnival, as they called it, even though they may go into isolation as a result.

The incident began earlier this week, when the Nahal Brigade was informed that three recruits who were at home over the weekend had been found to be verified, about a week after a police officer who was in their area but at the required distances, as part of an education series, fell ill and aided the company commander. The other fighters, from the Bainish department, who returned to the base by public transport, went into solitary confinement in the area. Corona testing department.

Warriors' parents turned to Israel Today in anger over the army's conduct, which they claimed did not update them in real time but only after a few days.

"We only found out about it after soldiers were returned to the base, because the rest of the recruits are in the field. There is a feeling that the army is pursuing a 'you did not check did not know' policy because there is no other reason to take five days to test the fighters where there were three verified patients and several other soldiers. Who feel bad. "

According to the parents, one of the meetings whose students are fighters in the company updated them.

"It is not known who has symptoms, parents do not know if they should go into isolation because maybe their sick children were with them on Saturday. Only two days after the incident started the parents were informed that there was an outbreak in the ward," one parent was furious.

"The military has brought the disease home, so it is the military's responsibility to do tests to know who should go into isolation and prevent infection. The families did not know about this incident before this attack began."

On the other hand, the Nahal Hospital claims that the entire conduct was transparent and that we immediately updated the parents.

In a letter received by Israel Today, the company commander informed the parents of what had happened: "After an epidemiological investigation, the commander of the BAH decided to put the platoon in isolation (soldiers and commanders) in light of the understanding that the platoon and platoon capsule is potentially contagious.

The department is currently in a field week like the rest of the company and continues with a training routine, while maintaining hygiene and distance from the rest of the company.

Therefore, their availability on the phone was not possible.

Today we are going up to the camp and we will take care of every soldier in the room properly with a minimum of soldiers with him.

Soldiers who suffer from symptoms will receive a separate room from the other soldiers. "The Nahal did not specify when the letter came out, but the wording indicates that it was delivered after requests from parents.

The IDF spokesman said in response: "As with any incident in the IDF, the incident was investigated and dealt with."
