His poetic texts come full of transparency and images and in a flowing language through which the poet Qusai Attia presents his vision of the prose poem, which he confirms that it has foundations, controls and a method for writing it.

Attia seeks to express his essences in a creative way, far from tradition, because he is keen to present his product in an unusual way without giving up the artistic level of the text.

Regarding his view of poetry, Attia says in an interview with Sana .. “Poetry is a beautiful world that is based on possessing what cannot be possessed in reality, as it searches into the depth of existence, things and the human self, capturing a fleeing moment, and diving through language to the creator's components to express a distant world and achieve a desire In embellishing the ugliness that exists in reality ”.

Regarding his direction to write the prose poem exclusively, Attia explains that Arabic poetry passed through several basic stages and joints, starting with the vertical and passing through the free verse and the tafel poetry and not ending with the prose poem, stressing that he writes this genre that finds in its vast space a space to express what occupies it.

Attia refuses to use the name of the prose poem or modern poetry to all words that are free of weight and rhyme, as we find on some social media pages, considering that the prose poem has foundations, controls and methodology for its writing.

And about the presence of poetry these days, Attia believes that it has not retreated, but it is going through a stage of confusion that expresses exceptional circumstances we are going through in our region, and this is natural by virtue of the fact that poetry reflects the state of the creator who has distracted the worries of a living life from writing. For any other race to compete with it.

Attia says .. "I do not care about the form or the poetic template with which I am writing my text as much as I care about expressing the emotional poetic state that I am going through. The emotional experience determines how the text is produced and the form is chosen."

Attia, who published a book on criticism along with his poetry collections, considers that the need to evaluate literary works gives criticism a prominent presence, especially specialized academic criticism, especially when the critic is the owner of a creative product, making him the most capable of keeping up with distinctive texts and lighting them to present what is useful in understanding them.

It is noteworthy that Qusay Muhammad Attiyah holds a BA in Arabic Language and Literature and a Master in Modern Arabic Literature. He publishes his literary output in Syrian and Arab periodicals and websites.

He has published two collections of poetry, “The Maraj of Light” and “The Humpback Desire Concerto” and others in the field of criticism.
