Putzbrunn can look ahead to the year 2021 cautiously but confidently.
With solid finances, the municipality can also tackle the large projects of high school, children's home, numerous cycle paths and affordable apartments in Parkstrasse with vigor.
Putzbrunn - All children found a place in a childcare facility in 2020.
Since there is a lack of educators everywhere, the available space cannot be fully used; only 282 of a possible 365 spaces are currently occupied.
Because the community, which has been shrinking for years, is expecting significant influx in the coming years, the local council decided to build a new day care center with kindergarten and day nurseries.
It will be built next to the bus station in the corner between Münchner- and Bürgermeister-Jakob-Straße.
Construction on the new grammar school on Oedenstockacher Strasse in the Waldkolonie district is also expected to begin next year.
Preparations are currently underway for an architectural competition by the school administration association, the building is designed for a maximum of 900 students and must be ready by the beginning of the school year 2023/24.

Affordable housing
The residential buildings on Parkstrasse will be ready for occupancy in the coming year.
The Munich-Land construction company built 56 apartments there for the district of Munich, and 22 affordable apartments for the municipality of Putzbrunn that are specially usable for municipal employees.
The administration is currently working on a proposal as to how these apartments should be allocated.
Business
The eastern industrial park will be expanded significantly by almost 27,000 square meters in the coming year.
The commercial buildings can be between nine and 15 meters high, and 20 percent of the roof areas must be extensively greened.
Retail is excluded, as is land use, such as agriculture, residential areas or recreational and sports areas.
Hermann-Oberth-Straße will be extended to Staatsstraße 2079 for the commercial area expansion.

Cyclist
A lot is planned for cyclists: feasibility studies for new cycle paths have been drawn up for the Theodor-Heuss-Straße, the Hohenbrunner- / Glonner-Straße intersection and the town drive.
The cycle path connection between Putzbrunn and Grasbrunn desired by both communities cannot yet be implemented.
According to information from the Autobahn Directorate, the plans for the expansion of the Autobahn must first be awaited.
A result is not expected before the end of 2021.

Renewable energy
A free building check is planned for the spring of 2021 to determine the energy-saving potential.
From May 2021 there will be a campaign to prepare a bundle tender for solar systems.
Several properties on Theodor-Heuss-Straße will be connected to the district heating network of Stadtwerke München, bringing the community closer to the goal of reducing CO2.

In terms of finances, income of 22.3 million euros and expenditure of 22.1 million euros are expected in the earnings budget.
In the financial budget, income of 19.1 million euros and payments of 19.8 million euros are planned.
The reserves will be reduced to 5.2 million euros by the end of 2021.
The debt level is very high at 18.7 million euros, but for Mayor Edwin Klostermeier (SPD) no cause for concern.
The amount comes exclusively from the acquisition of land, "so there is an enormous equivalent value".
