The US aviation company United Airlines revealed that the Covid 19 pandemic, which inflicted heavy damage on the travel sector in the United States and around the world, incurred losses of $ 7.1 billion last year.
AFP quoted the company as saying in a statement today that it "incurred losses in 2020 of $ 1.7 billion, while in 2019 it achieved $ 3 billion in profits."
The company pointed out that it expects 2021 to be a transitional year thanks to the emerging anti-virus vaccines, while it expects that by 2023 it will achieve profit margins that exceed those achieved in the pre-Covid 19 phase.
