The regulations are particularly strict on the registration plates of vehicles in circulation.
The registration number must be reproduced on each registration plate in black non-retro-reflective characters on a white retro-reflective background.
This number can be arranged on one line or on two lines.
Vehicle registration plates must include the European symbol supplemented by the letter "F" which must be located at the left end of it.
Vehicle registration plates must also include a territorial identifier consisting of the official logo of a region and the number of one of the departments in that region.
The regulations specify that the choice of this territorial identifier is free and may not have any link with the domicile of the holder of the registration certificate.
The territorial identifier must be integrated in its entirety into the registration plate and be located at the right end of it.
It is for this reason that stickers are therefore prohibited and expose you to a fine of 135 euros and the immobilization of the vehicle.
The territorial identifier must be identical on the front plate and on the back plate.
Also note that the plates can only support on their two ends the blue color.
Forbidden therefore fanciful logos, logos reminiscent of the vehicle brand as well as stickers of any kind or to add any element.
