Three men and women involved in crimes committed during a demonstration in 2019 were brought to court after more than a year after being charged with riots and other crimes

Three persons suspected of participating in different demonstrations in the previous year were charged more than a year later and appeared in the Kowloon City Court today (22nd). Two of the men and women were involved in the “Don’t Don't forget the Heart Parade” on December 1st of the previous year.

Three persons suspected of participating in different demonstrations in the previous year were charged more than a year later and appeared in the Kowloon City Court today (22nd).

Two men and women were charged with involvement in the riot in Hung Hom on December 1st of the previous year on the day of the "Don’t Don't forget the Heart March". The two do not need to respond for the time being. The District Court dealt with it.

Another case involved a driver who was accused of participating in an illegal assembly in Sham Shui Po in August of the previous year. His case was postponed until March 12th. The driver was released on bail, but he is currently serving his sentence in another case. Therefore, we must continue to pay.

Two men and women accused of rioting in Hung Hom

The riot case involved two defendants, namely, female defendant He Jingsha (23 years old, beauty market planning) and male defendant Zhong Zixuan (25 years old, bank clerk).

They were both charged with a crime of rioting, alleging that they participated in the riots with Chen Shiling and other unknown persons in the vicinity of Tak Hong Street, Tak On Street and Shun King Street in Hung Hom on December 1, 2019.

It is understood that the male defendant was holding a brick when he was arrested.

The prosecution applied for an anonymous order for all police officers in the case, which was approved by the magistrate.

The male defendant’s application for bail was rejected, while the female defendant was granted bail of 50,000 yuan. During this period, he had to report to the police station every day, surrender his travel documents, and was not allowed to leave Hong Kong.

Drivers involved in illegal assembly in Sham Shui Po District

The other defendant was Huang Zhaochang (39 years old, driver). He was charged with participating in an illegal assembly with unknown persons at the junction of Yen Chow Street and Yu Chow Street in Sham Shui Po on about August 28, 2019.
