Due to the favorable weather, the excavation work started at the beginning of January.
The dual gym, which is being built between Ober- and Niederneuching, should go into operation in around one and a half years.
Neuching - but who wants to use it - and above all how?
At a meeting and question and answer session with the Neuchingen associations, Mayor Thomas Bartl (CSU), the building committee and architect Alexander Pfletscher presented the multi-million dollar project.
The municipal councilors Christian Steiner (WGN), Martin Bauer (CSU) and Markus Reicheneder (FWG) had developed a concept that included the facts of the building, but also clarified details such as the future hall occupancy, cleaning or ensuring regular operation.
They presented these findings to the club representatives in the hall of the Neuwirt inn.
"The so-called sports hall is much more than a pure gymnasium, which offers the Neuchingen clubs an inexpensive option on site to practice their sport," emphasized the trio.
Because after Corona, cultural and social life should also gain momentum again.
Theatrical performances, a children's carnival, but also the use for private celebrations were addressed.
“It is planned that smaller, medium-sized and larger events can be held”, informed architect Pfletscher.
“A hall for all of Neuching,” summed up the trio.

The area on which the new Neuchingen sports area is being built is located between the Isarkanal and Kreisstraße.

Four tennis courts will be set up outdoors, some with floodlights.
Space should also be kept free for other sports.
The heart of the building is the multifunctional sports hall.
According to Pfletscher, their playing fields should be aligned so that both training and competitions are possible.
"Then who owns the equipment in the hall?" Asked Hans Mayer.
Because the use depends on it.
“The municipality provides a certain basic equipment.
The clubs have separate things like balls, ”replied Erhard Huber, head of the building authority.
“What do the clubs need?” Reicheneder asked the group.
“You should write that down.
And also occupancy times, needs, etc., ”he said.
SpVgg chairman Pascal Gschwendtner asked about the number of showers and the floodlights for the tennis courts.
“There are four showers in each changing room,” says Pfletscher.
There could be floodlights for a maximum of three places, as there was no right because of the masts.
Martin Bichlmaier (SPD) would like to beat the drum for the hall.
A children's carnival or anniversary festivities are good options.
But private sports use, for example for yoga, badminton or futsal, would also be well received.
Planning and expansion should begin in May or June.
Therefore it is now important that the clubs communicate their equipment requirements, explained Pfletscher.
There was also a need to talk about how and whether further water and sewage connections are to be installed.
This is particularly important at large festivities.

"Can the equipment rooms be cleared out so that we can wash glasses here?" He asked.
And how does the delivery of larger equipment, such as band equipment, work?
According to Pfletscher, a water connection is planned in the large cleaning room and larger equipment is delivered via stairs.
You can easily attach a ramp there.
And catering is also possible in the multi-purpose room on the first floor.
So far, no lines have been provided in the equipment rooms.
According to Reicheneder, showers are more suitable for this.
However, this is a maximum of four major events per year.
“I know it from practice and don't want to mess around in the shower.
But I think it's good when equipment rooms are equipped accordingly, ”replied Otto Hainz (SPD).
"Then not only water and sewage, but also electricity - and not just 16 amps," explained SpVgg boss Gschwendtner.
With the possibility of letting 800 people into the house, a room should be equipped accordingly, said Martin Bauer.
“The money is then well invested,” he is convinced and received support from Steiner.
Burschen boss Bernhard Schindlbeck sees it the same way and pointed out that appropriate power distribution boxes should be installed in the outdoor area.
That is an advantage when a club puts up a tent, for example.
According to Pfletscher, external current is provided for the tennis courts.
And according to building authority boss Huber, distribution boxes are also taken into account in the electrical planning.
"It should be ensured that the district office lets 800 people in," added Bauer.
According to Pfletscher, there is a fire protection concept for this: “Events of this size are then also possible.
But we don't build an event arena.
We are building a multi-purpose sports hall, ”the planner clarified.
Now the Neuchingen clubs are in demand.
