German virologist Christian Drosten has warned of an unprecedented increase in infections with the new Corona virus in Germany in light of the current conditions.
In an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel, Drosten expressed his concern about the huge numbers of infections that could be recorded and said, "In the worst case scenario, there will be 100,000 infections per day, especially since the new strain of Corona virus is more dangerous."
In turn, an infectious disease specialist Christoph Spinner said that the mutated Corona virus, which spreads more easily in adults, is also likely to spread easily among children.
Spinner warned of the great risks that this mutated strain could pose to the health situation in Germany.
