National Security Adviser Meir Ben Shabbat spoke by telephone this evening (Saturday) with White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, senior Israeli officials said.
This is the first conversation between senior Israeli government officials and senior Biden government officials since the inauguration of the new president last week.
The conversation between the two advisers dealt with an initial acquaintance between the parties, and with other issues such as the Iranian issue.
And was carried out as part of a series of talks that Sullivan has been holding for the past two days with his counterparts in several countries that are considered close allies of the United States such as Britain, France, Germany, Japan and South Korea.
