Tokyo-Sana
An earthquake measuring 5.2 degrees on the Richter scale today hit the southwestern island of Ishigaki, Japan, without news of injuries.
The US Geological Survey stated that the quake occurred at a depth of ten kilometers and its center was located at 23.5194 degrees north latitude and 123.6292 degrees east longitude.
Japan is located at the confluence of four tectonic plates and witnesses about twenty percent of the world's most violent earthquakes every year.
