Israelis who want to return will be able to do so through the Taba crossing • The Airports Authority claims that the decision belongs to the Population Authority - which transferred the responsibility to the government
Has the government forgotten the border crossings?
Although starting at midnight, Ben Gurion Airport will be closed to the entry of passengers, the Begin border crossing in Eilat will remain open for the entry of Israelis who want to return to Israel, subject to isolation.

In this way, Israelis who want to return to Israel from anywhere in the world can fly to Egypt or Sharm el-Sheikh in the Sinai Peninsula, and from there travel by car to the border crossing in Taba and enter Israel.
The Airports Authority claims that they do not decide whether to close or open the crossing, a decision given by the Population Authority.
At the same time, the Population Authority claims that there is no order to close the border crossings to Israelis.
The ban is on the entry of foreigners as well as the departure of Israelis to Sinai.
Before the commissioner for the struggle in Corona, Professor Nachman Ash, it was raised that the land border crossings remain open, and in order to close them, the legislation needs to be changed.
At this point, the aisles are expected to remain open until otherwise decided.
The Population and Immigration Authority said: "We have not made the government decision, so we need to get a response from them."
The government's response has not yet been released.
