The IDF is closely monitoring the medical preparations of the Hamas government in Gaza and the Palestinian Authority regarding corona vaccines, amid growing criticism in the networks against the Palestinian Authority and Israel.

Senior IDF sources said that the pressure in Gaza was great and intensifying in the wake of the Corona crisis, "If the Palestinian public criticizes Hamas and the PA as a result of a lack of vaccines or a problematic priority, Israel will become the address."

According to the source, "This can be reflected in public criticism and also in rockets. This is how they attract worldwide attention and put pressure on decision-makers."

In the next few days, the second shipment of vaccines against Corona is expected to arrive from Israel to the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah, for one hundred medical staff members aged 60 and over who are treating Corona patients.

Political sources emphasized that the shipment was intended exclusively for medical staff from Judea and Samaria, and not for the Gaza Strip.

At the same time, the Palestinian Authority announced that it would receive about 100,000 corona vaccines from Russia in the near future, for about 50,000 vaccinated.

These vaccines are expected to arrive as early as next week through Ben Gurion Airport and not through Jordan and the Allenby crossing, to facilitate the transportation process at minus 18 degrees. The process will be coordinated with the defense establishment, since the Israeli government has decided to close Ben Gurion Airport.

In addition, medical authorities in the Palestinian Authority announced coordination with the World Health Organization for vaccinations for 20% of the Palestinian population in Judea and Samaria (3.2 million Palestinians) and in the Gaza Strip (2.2 million Palestinians).

Sources in the authority are also working on a purchase agreement with Astraznica in the amount of two million vaccines, for about a million vaccinators.

According to IDF sources, the source of tension between the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian Authority is that it is not clear how many vaccines were purchased by the Palestinian Authority, whether there are donations from other countries, and whether the vaccines purchased will be enough for everyone. The vaccinated by geographical division, age and functionaries.

Israel understands that while Judea and Samaria are very pessimistic about the effectiveness of vaccines and even express themselves on social media, in the Gaza Strip the pressure is particularly great because of the conditions of closure imposed by Hamas on the population and economic harm.

The Israeli closure of the crossings also adds to the internal pressure in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are demanding international aid for vaccinations, and accuse Israel of not helping you.
