The French Research Institute, Pasteur, announced today that it has stopped developing its flagship vaccine project against the Coronavirus because first tests showed that it was less effective than expected.
The French Press Agency quoted the institute as saying that “the immune responses were less than those observed with the vaccines authorized against the Corona virus,” indicating that the institute continues to work on other vaccine projects against the virus, but it is still in an initial stage.
The French Research Institute Pasteur cooperated with the pharmaceutical company (MSD), the name of the American group Merck, outside the United States and Canada to develop various vaccines, including those against the Corona virus, as Pasteur used the measles vaccine as a base to develop his vaccine against the Corona virus.
